Monolexical Word Search was started in June 2024 as a way of promoting polyonoms.
“One Word Word Searches” already existed. So a new term was needed to differentiate that concept for polyonoms.
Fortunately the combination of the three words “Monolexical Word Search” did not appear to have been previously recorded on the web ↓
This indicated the way was open to create the “Monolexical Word Search” and use the term for polyonoms.
Polyonoms are new words. (See https://polyonom.com) – opens in new tab / window.
In the era before wide spread access to Artificial Intelligence tools these were often called “neologisms”.
Polyonoms differ from neologisms inasmuch as they are novel creations that can be used to describe emerging concepts or capture feelings in a changing world.
The process of creating polyonoms involves borrowing from other languages, blending, compounding, clipping, and using acronyms to form new words.
Typically those new words reflect societal changes, cultural evolution, and technological advancements.
While neologisms can be coined in various ways, polyonoms specifically involve the intentional combination of existing linguistic elements to create new terms.
In short – polyonoms represent a creative and intentional approach to linguistic innovation within the broader category of neologisms.
Thank you for your time and entertaining the concept of Monolexical Word Searches and their use in promoting polyonoms.
